Her predecessor is a winner; the next evolution of this large sailing yacht series ramps up the efficiency further

Royal Huisman’s just-released Trident 810 design is big, and designed to not let size impede speed. At 81 metres, it has a massive upwind sail area of 2,580sqm, but all three mainsails can be hoisted simultaneously; in the same time as a yacht half the size.

Based on the proven platform of Royal Huisman’s successful Sea Eagle - current reigning champion of the NZ Millennium Cup - Trident 810 is Royal Huisman’s next evolution in a series of extra large sailing yachts designed for true sailing.

Designed by Dykstra Naval Architects and Mark Whiteley Design, the powerful Panamax rig of Trident 810 ensure effortless performance, with the speed of operation which will become this series’ signature. The efficiency of this advanced sail management system reflects the immense technical innovation behind it.

What truly sets her apart is the effortless control she offers: an all-aluminum yacht of this magnitude can be sailed with the simplicity of a much smaller vessel. Such intuitive sail management redefines expectations and broadens horizons; the large, powerful sailing plan delivers a significant efficiency advantage making this suitable for adventurous world cruising.
